Particles
In Japanese, particles are vital to marking the role of a word within the sentence. A particle comes after the pronoun it marks. For more information, refer to this cheat sheet.

marks the topic/subject of the sentence |
| o を |
marks the object of the sentence |
| ni に |
marks the direction of an action |
| e へ |
marks destination and direction |
| de で |
indicates where or how an action takes place |
| no の |
indicates possession |
| mo も |
means “too” or “also” |
Examples:
- This is her favorite song.
これは彼女の好きな曲です.
Kore wa kanojo no suki na kyoku desu. - I want to go over there.
あそこに行きたい.
Asoko ni ikitai. - Are you going to eat that?
あれを食べますか?
Are o tabemasuka?
